Are Drugs Over-Prescribed? Doctors say YES!

According to a report delivered by the general of the Department of Health and Human Services, harmful prescriptions that cost the U.S. government over 350 million dollars have been prescribed to patients.  But it is not just the investigators saying that these drugs are over-prescribed, the doctors are AGREEING with them by also stating that outrageous numbers of prescriptions are being filled not only by retail drugstores but also by mail order in the U.S.  There is no doubt that some prescriptions are indeed helpful, but still hundreds and even millions of these prescriptions are both unnecessary and extremely dangerous.  As most of you know anyways, there is always that exceedingly fast portion at the end of the drug pill commercials that tells you the risks and possible side effects, which 9 times out of 10 outweigh all the benefits of taking said drug.  “If you suffer from chronic headaches, take this new breakthrough drug called Uthplevuckide.  Possible side effects include diarrhea, loss of limbs, deafness, total body numbness, pregnancy, and death.” Thank you but no thank you.  I think I will just have to live with the chronic headaches.  Luckily, doctors have begun to “see the light” so to speak and start a new fad that includes the recommendation of chiropractic care rather than the prescription of a “miracle” drug.  With these new recommendations surfacing, unnecessary prescribing and testing will slowly decline.   The dawn of a new day on the path of natural healing is on the horizon; and, it is beautiful indeed!
